BAJA SAE is an intercollegiate design competition. It consists of regional competitions that simulate real-world engineering design. Students are asked to build an off-road vehicle that will survive rough terrain and occasionally water. In addition to the racing events, competitions also include Shark Tank-esque sales presentations and proof of design presentations. Students of all majors are welcomed, and in many cases needed.
We meet in Force 104 for our meetings at noon on Tuesdays, and from 7PM-10PM on Tuesdays & Thursdays.

The purpose of the student activity fee is to "provide funds to improve co-curricular environment for undergraduate and graduate students." Any and all members of the campus community (students, faculty, and staff) are welcome to apply for funds provided the proposal meets the requirements of this guiding principle. Please refer to the SAF Handbook for additional information regarding guidelines and policies. Requests for funding are submitted to the SAF Allocation Committee. This committee, which meets regularly throughout the year, is responsible for reviewing proposals and allocating SAF funds in a manner consistent with the purpose of the fee. The mission includes uniting all students of Penn State Altoona interested in and/or searching for an outlet for artistic expression and communication, to foster relationships with other clubs on campus related to the arts and to connect student artists with one other at Penn State Altoona, to encourage participation in art events and other campus events and to provide consistent amount of art events for students on campus.

Active members are defined as students who are actively contributing to the success of The Art Club (both in person and remotely via The Art Club group on Canvas) and attend at least four events or regular meetings per academic year. This includes students who are unable to attend regular meetings due to class schedules, but who can volunteer for special events such as Involvement Fairs, fundraising activities, and field trips.

We discuss with companies about careers in the tech field as well as hands on club activities for club members who want to learn. Guest speakers are a big part of Cybersecurity Club. The idea here is to learn about career opportunities as well as internships to learn what different IT jobs present. Anyone who wants to become better with computing and security are welcome to join the club; you do not have to major in aspects of computing.

The connection between Penn State Altoona students and our Community members will allow for all to grow socially, and develop soft skills and experience friendship between our community members who are 18+ who meet the criteria and are eligible for services provided by the ARC of Blair County.

- Trips and Service : Fall weekend and Spring break trips - college students opportunity to get away from campus for adventures and life-changing experiences. Also opportunities for students to serve on summer staff or as a Young Life leader.
